Prison Break Race-2014

The 2014 Jefferson City Outdoors Prison Break is quickly approaching – we are excited about the event turning three this year!  Please be ready for the unexpected as the old route will feature some new surprises!  Please continue to check back for more updates – thanks!


The Prison Break times are under “2013 Prison Break Race Results” and Prison Break pictures are under “2013 Prison Break Pictures.” Individual Prison Break mug shots will be sent soon!  If you have not received your mug shot, please let us know, and we will send it your way – thanks!

Break begins at 9am – Registration is from 7:30am – 8:30am

Recommended spectator stations –

Directly outside of Housing Unit 1 – 115 Lafayette Street

Riverside/Ellis Porter basketball court/baseball parking lot/pool area –

Prison Brews –

During the Break, you will encounter mud and water – please dress accordingly!

There will be volunteers stationed along the course, at the obstacles, and at the water stations (3 water stations) – there will also be signage and chalk markings on the course.

The Prison Break t-shirts will be handed out at the end of the race this year (you will have something dry to change into).

Free pizza will be provided to the participants at the end of the race at Prison Brews.

We have have an awards ceremony following the Break at approximately 11:00am, which will include awards for the top 3 finishers from each division (male and female), a couple of special awards, and some giveway prizes (must be present to win giveaway prizes).  Please stay and enjoy the atmosphere!

A lock box/area for possessions will be provided at the Missouri State Penitentiary (Control Center) – belongings will be put into an individual envelope or bag with name on it and transported to Prison Brews to pick up at the end of the Break (not responsible for lost items).
